1. Apply - Submit A Personal Reference - Interview
- Fill out our application. Please be honest and use as much detail as possible. We honestly want to know all about you and the life you can give one of our puppies.
- Have your friend fill out our Personal Reference Questionnaire.
- We will contact you by email & or text when we have had time to review your application and we are ready to set up a video interview. Please check back with your email and/or enable messages from our email, if necessary.
- Video Interview We contact each applicant to chat with them over a video chat so that we can get to know you better and you can get to know us better. At the end of the interview, you will be informed whether or not we feel we are a good fit. If you're ready to be placed on the waiting list after the video interview - please be ready to pay the $200 Waiting List Fee. We will send you another email that includes information you'll need and a request for the $200 Waiting List Fee. Waiting List Members are listed in the order of the date and time they place their fee. (Sometimes placement is decided by only a minute or so ; ) at this time you'll be invited to join our Facebook group for exclusive pictures and videos.
2. Choose A Puppy - How the Waiting List Works
- When planning litters, we reach out to Waiting List Members to gage interest.
- We contact those who've expressed interest when puppies are approximately 3-5 weeks of age, (we will contact the waiting list in the order they are listed).
- **Breeder reserves first choice for our own program. If we are evaluating the litter, for puppies we may want to keep for our program, selection can be as late as 5-7 weeks old before waiting list is allowed to choose.
- The Waiting list chooses in the order they are on the list, then any remaining puppies are opened up to the public to choose from - all puppies must be applied for - none will be sold without a complete application and interview process.
3. Puppy Selection requires a Holding Fee & Contract
- When you choose a specific puppy, you will be sent a copy of the Rental Permission Contract (if applicable) and Holding Fee Contract, and Shurbeez Sales Contract.
- When people back out on the purchase of a puppy after selecting a puppy and paying a Holding Fee... they will leave behind their Holding Fee - it will NOT be refunded - NO EXCEPTIONS-, as the Holding Fee is the guarantee that the puppy you chose would be held for you until the puppy is ready to go home. When buyers back out we have to do a lot of work in a little time to find a new home that will be ready for the puppy. Thank you for being serious and getting yourself ready before your puppy comes home to you!
- If you have a major hardship we can discuss moving the holding fee to another puppy, please be considerate of the puppy's needs and the potential new home - and tell us about your difficulty as soon as possible.
- Within 48 hours of selecting a puppy you will pay your NON-REFUNDABLE holding fee of 50% of the purchase price through the Good Dog payment platform only (that includes the $200 Waiting List Fee you've already paid) .
- **Your Holding Fee applies toward the full price of your puppy.
- (DO NOT pay before I give you permission to be on my waiting list or let you decide on a puppy).
- You may pay for your puppy in one payment or multiple payments.
- The puppy must be paid in full TWO weeks before your puppy goes home -
- If your puppy is not paid in full TWO weeks before Go-Home Day, we will contact you by phone, and if not resolved within 48 hours, we will then make the puppy available for our waiting list members. Without timely contact from you, you will forfeit your Holding Fee.
- Any money paid to us in addition to the Holding fee will be returned to you minus any extended stay fees ($30-$35/day), supplies, or vaccinations needed for puppy's care until it is sold.
4. Regular Updates & Visits
- We regularly send updated pictures and videos.
- We have FaceBook live video chats, a Shurbeez Shih Tzu Family Facebook group, an Instagram page, a Youtube channel, and we send these updates directly to you as well. etc. I try to keep you as updated as possible. I don't promise that I will send daily updates, but it is common to get several updates per week.
- We do allow visits in our home with restrictions and rules. 100% on our terms!! No visits happen before puppies are vaccinated for the first time. It is for their safety. If you would like to visit your puppy, or our home to meet us before committing to the Waiting List: (keep in mind we don't always have puppies to view)
- All visits must be pre-arranged - NO drop in visits allowed
- You must not visit any other breeder/puppy locations the same day
- You cannot bring your own pets into our home
- You must send me a copy of your current driver's license
- You have a time limit of 30 minutes, so we can be fair to other families and our own
- You will be required to remove shoes outside our home
- You will be required to only touch your own puppy - or the puppy we allow
- You will be required to use hand sanitizer
- You can come by yourself or bring ONE guest with you, we will need a copy of their drivers license as well
5. Getting Your Puppy Home
How will you be getting your puppy home to you?
Thank you for being considerate of our time and efforts as we try to do what is best for everyone! Go-home day is a bittersweet day for us.
- If you live close to Moses Lake, WA you can plan to pick your puppy up directly from us.
- If you live farther away, Shurbeez Shih Tzu is willing to meet you halfway for a delivery fee. We charge a fee of $200 for our 2 hour round trip. If the distance is greater than one hour away from us you can add $60 per hour of our travel time (round trip).
- If you live states away we can act as your personal flight nanny. This is an in-cabin delivery to your local airport. We have puppies all over the U.S.A. that have successfully flown with flight nannies.
- If you would like us to act as your flight nanny we are more than happy to do this, we love to meet all of our clients if possible. You will be responsible for:
- round trip flight costs,
- a night in a hotel if necessary,
- Health Certificate - if necessary for importing a puppy into your state, and
- the airline fee for a pet to travel in-cabin with us, (between $99-$150)
- plus a flat fee of $200 for our time.
- If you would like us to act as your flight nanny we are more than happy to do this, we love to meet all of our clients if possible. You will be responsible for:

- Prior to Go-Home Day, we will make arrangements for picking up puppies so we can spend adequate time with each family/person. That way we do not have mobs of people coming at the same time that we have airport drop-offs and long-distance deliveries scheduled, etc.
- Long distance deliveries, airport drop-offs, and if we are your flight nanny, will each be scheduled for a time after all other puppies go home to allow us to be home for pick-up day.
